The custom itinerary includes many of the most dynamic locations of this wonderful country. Now I am also including a new amazing locations. Gulifoss Falls. Please click on the images above to view the Iceland Gallery. Each location will be yours to shoot for 8 days. I’ve selected October, as it is a good time to avoid the crowds and the weather is still quite comfortable, with highs in the 40’s As opposed to winter when the temps drop well below freezing. Plus it is a time for the Aurora-Borealis. At a great price of only $4200, with a deposit of $2000 to hold your seat.
Here are the amazing values of your trip to Iceland. All lodging is included, all breakfasts, well as all bag lunches in the field. Ice cleats if necessary and rubber boots. All transportation in comfortable off road vehicles. Critiques, lectures and a farewell dinner. Lodging in Iceland is very expensive so it is priced at double occupancy. For single occupancy add $500.
Day 1 You arrive in Reykjavík and board the shuttle to your hotel. Then that evening we get together for dinner and a meet and greet session.
Day 2 Our adventure begins with an early trip to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula which abounds with great image taking. With sea stacks, coastlines, and Snæfellsjökull glacier to name just a few. We again shoot on the Peninsula on the northern shores and shooting of Mount Kirkjufell with waterfalls and hopefully shoot the Northern Lights after sunset.
Day 3 Is devoted to the south coast with many diverse locations and many dynamic waterfalls. Including Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and more sea stacks to capture. Then after sunset we try to capture these areas under the Norther Lights. We stay this night in the town of Vik.
Day 4 Leaving Vik we go to the southern end of the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Vatnajökull National Park. This region is one of the most beautiful areas of Iceland. With ice flows on the lagoon and vast icebergs flowing across you view. This might we stay in the south coast.
Day 5 We return for sunrise to Jökulsárlón, then head to the Vatnajökull National Park and ice flows, seascapes, and the lesser-known glacier lagoon, Fjallsárlón. Jökulsárlón is where we spend the night.
Day 6 On this day you can shoot the black sands and stark landscapes of Vestrahorn, on the Stokknes Peninsula. You will also then shoot the largest ice cap in Europe Vatnajökull. You will return to Jökulsárlón for your final sunset shoot in the area. That night we stay our last night on the South Coast.
Day 7 We spend most of the day traveling back to Vatnajökull National Park and to Reykjavík, shooting many great locations along the way. Finally arriving in town we meet for our farewell dinner and another chance to shoot the Northern Lights by the city.
Day 8 Our trip of 8 days of constant shooting is now over. You will have many memory cards filled with unbelievable images to enjoy for years to come. We then shuttle you to the airport for your trip home.
In addition to all the activities listed above we can spend time in the hotels doing critiques of your images and talking about Photoshop, Light Room and Blending.
The trip excludes airfare, shuttle to and from the hotel and lunches.
