Leave planning your Italian trip to us! We have everything planned and organized to ensure you enjoy this trip to the fullest and see and shoot everything Tuscany has to offer. The workshop will focus its energy on shooting the countryside’s vast landscapes and century old towns, with some exceptional food along the way. April is the prime season for red poppies and green rolling hills of the famous Tuscany region.

Your adventure begins with 3 nights in Florence Italy in the center of old town, near the Ponte Vecchio and the Pitti Palace. You arrive in Florence on April 22 and grab a taxi to the hotel.

You will stay at Hotel Della Signoriawhich has modern updated rooms and is travel friendly. Breakfasts are included. Florence is the center of historic art with places like the Pitti Palace, The Acedemia, home of the David, and the Strozzi Palace.

After checking in we will greet you in the lobby for a meet and greet session at 6 pm, and review the weeks itinerary. The next day we can arrange tickets for the many attractions and museums in the old town, including the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella, The Academia where Michelangelos David is located, the Pitti Palace, and the Uffizi Gallery.

Day 2 you can venture about in the old city and shoot the many wonderful city scapes. You also have plenty of time to shoot the many gardens and visit shops along the way. One of the highlights of Florence is the Pointe Vecchio. A stone bridge built in 996 by the Romans

Day 3 in Florence is for exploring the many medieval palaces, shooting in the Boboli Gardens, and treating yourself to the Mercado Centrale. The market has everything Italian, in meats for picnics, world cheeses, and of course famous Italian leather goods.

Day 4 and we are off traveling the countryside and shooting along the way. Our destination is the agriturismo  Casanova di Pescille located just 1 km from San Gimignano. Dinners for all 4 nights are included in the price of the trip including breakfasts. There will also be an optional cooking class by the Casanova Chef.

Day 5 is an all day shoot along the Val d Arcia, the most photographed region in Tuscany. We lunch in one of the old towns in the region. such as Montalcino and Montepulciano. Home of the Brunello Di Montalcino wines.

Day 6 and again shooting sunrise along the many locations in the Val d Orcia. Lunch in Pienza. After lunch we again shoot looking for red poppies which are one of the highlights of spring time.

Day 7 is more relaxing with a morning in San Gimignano shooting city scapes, having lunch and shopping. Then we shoot sunset in the valleys below.

Day 8. We return to Florence for our last night in Tuscany. You can shoot the surrounding country side and the Arno River before dinner. And we will be doing critiques session of your images on several days during the workshop.

Day 9 April 30 and your journey in Tuscany comes to a close. Your taxi takes you to the airport for home. Or if you choose you can venture on to see more of Europe.
